Google's Browser

I had just downloaded Google's new browser-Google Chrome Beta version. I will be updating this entry with my own observations (note: i'm not a techie gal so no techie stuffs here) as we go along.

  • After the installation i was prompted to export all my bookmarks from Firefox (or IE)-nice!

Chrome bookmark

  • I tried Ctrl-T to open new tabs and it worked! hmm..

  • I didn't notice any script blocker

  • The design is simple and sleek

Chrome

  • The address bar can also be use in google searching.

  • Simple Menu options with only 3 tabs. Now see the option that has a hip name? It's actually where you can change the proxy settings, manage certificates, cookie settings, and SSL settings. Minor Tweaks tab is where you can change the download location, languages, and password manager.

Options

  • Remember the address bar/ web search, apparently you can change it to the search engine of your choice.  You can even add more through the Manage button.

  • Okay, enough of this. I have to admit, it'll take time to like and get used to Chrome. I was an IE user for a long time but was convinced to switch to FireFox because it kept on crashing on me!

UPDATE: I'm back to using Firefox. Chrome needs a lot of tweaking; it takes time to load pages, upload pictures and download stuffs. I'll check on it again maybe nextime.
